Day 40 - 70.6 miles. Morganza LA

Today's ride was long with bad roads, a headwind, and disappointing scenery. We rode along the Mississippi for a while, but all we saw was a levee. We also got lost, and rode 10 extra miles. Not the best riding day, but we all went out to dinner and had traditional boiled crawfish on Good Friday.  I had the theee pound dinner and got quite good at peeling and eating the little devils. It turned out to be a great day! - Sue
We passed by some poor neighborhoods and it was startling to see such poverty.  Our country is so wealthy to see people living in shacks is disturbing.
For the first time in my life I had crawfish.   They are delicious.  Because today was Good Friday, the group thought going out for a fish dinner was a good idea.  We went to this Cajun restaurant, Hottails.  The place was packed with folks eating crayfish by the pound.  This was Cajun cooking at its best! - Annie
