San Diego

We (and all our luggage) made it to San Diego.  We enjoyed two wonderful days with Loring and Janet,
and now are at the Youth Hostel ready to start the big ride tomorrow. We have met our fellow riders and
discussed such burning issues as type of sweetener for coffee, milk versus half and half, and who likes
what type of snacks.  We are ready to roll!

The 3/3/17 Times Union featured two women “both in their 60s” who are off on their second big adventure. After riding together as a two-bike team, they decided to get a tandem, complete last year’s Parks & Trails New York Erie Canalway Trail Ride and then, this year, ride with an Adventure Cycling supported 3,000-mile ride from San Diego to St. Augustine.

    Follow them here - http://anniesuebikeusa.blogspot.com/

Find out about the Erie Canalway Trail here – http://www.ptny.org/cycle-the-erie-canal/annual-bike-tour Note the opportunity for 2- and 4-day options if you not able to do the Buffalo-Albany full ride.

And Adventure Cycling here - https://www.adventurecycling.org/ Recall that Adventure Cycling is the country’s largest cycling membership non-profit organization (three times larger than the League of American Bicyclists), and all its members are focused on touring by bicycle. Check it out!
